Donnie McClurkin’s fifth CD release, We Are All One: Live in Detroit boast 14 tracks, one of which landed a 2010 GRAMMY for “Best Gospel Performance.” McClurkin’s duet with gospel song bird and label mate, Karen Clarke Sheard, was apparently a stand out for voters making “Wait On The Lord” his third GRAMMY and a great way to kick off the new decade.

In 2004, Again was named “Best Soul Contemporary Gospel Album” and in 2006 Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs received a “Best Traditional Gospel Album” award.

“With this, being my third win … you would think that one would get accustomed to the stressful environment. The anxiety of being nominated for the highest musical award, side-by-side with my peers, seems to always render me nervous. Yet it’s an honor that I can’t adequately put into words … Winning the GRAMMY is amazing!” says McClurkin.

McClurkin has already left an indelible mark on the gospel music industry and can truly be considered a premier talent in the gospel genre. His singles “Stand” and “We Fall Down” paved the way for

visibility outside the church community. Although “Stand” became an anthem in churches first, McClurkin’s broad television exposure helped to broaden his audience even more. The sophomore release, Live From London housed the second smash hit “We Fall Down” which sky rocketed when urban mainstream radio stations around the country started playing the single.
