LisaGay Hamilton of Beloved fame where she played young Sethe in the Oprah produced film, isn't giving a second thought to being let go from her job.
The actress was among other top-name stars of the ABC law drama, including Lara Flynn Boyle and Dylan McDermott, who were ousted going into the current season.
In fact, Hamilton says she's grateful for the opportunity that the network and producer David E. Kelley gave her.
It's show business, she told AP Radio recently. I gained a great deal of experience. I became a parent because it felt like I could afford to do that.
Hamilton also said the show allowed her to co-finance and co-produce the must-see documentary on veteran actress Beah Richards titled Beah: A Black Woman Speaks.
If I didn't have the funds I could never have done that, said Hamilton, 40.
Hamilton isn't worried about future jobs either. It's certainly made me relatively somewhat of a household name. That allowed me to make some phone calls and have people return them, she said.
