If you missed preceding episodes of “So You Think You Can Dance”, the Fox reality dance competition, then you were really left out in the cold! The Top 4 contestants blew me and my queen’s minds last night as they demonstrated their amazing skills!

We will certainly be glued to our TV screen tonight to see who cops the prize! (You tell me if Danny Tidwell isn’t simply amazing!)

Realtytvmagazine.com was correct by saying that “The competition reached a crescendo as the Top 4 contestants prepared for their last performances in the quest for the title of America’s Favorite Dancer and the $250,000 cash prize. The remaining finalists (Neil Haskell, Sabra Johnson, Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell) competed on Part 1 of the Season Finale – a special two-hour final performance show – which aired last night. The voting outcome will be announced and America’s Favorite Dancer revealed on the live two-hour Season Finale, Part 2, airing tonight (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). In addition, pop-rock artist Ryan Cabrera and former Pussycat Dolls lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger will perform musical numbers.”

That’s Neil Haskell , second from left, Lacey Schwimmer on the extreme left, Sabra Johnson, second from right and Danny Tidwell, far right, my pick to win the competition.

Here’s a rundown of what happened last night, courtesy of realitytvmagazine.com.

For the first couples performance, Sabra Johnson and Neil Haskell danced Hip-Hop to “Whine Up” by Kat DeLuna. Nigel Lythgoe said “It wasn’t as funky as I would have liked it.” Mary Murphy said “I expected honestly more right now at this point, so I’m left sitting here just a little disappointed.” Dan Karaty said “It’s not that it wasn’t good. It’s just that we’ve already seen you do it better.”

For the second couples performance, Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell danced the Viennese Waltz to “Keep Holding On” by Avril Lavigne. Nigel Lythgoe said “This is the standard I was expecting from the finale.” Mary Murphy said “You just made it look effortless.” Dan Karaty said “The two of you together aren’t even fair. I think you’re incredible, amazing.”

For the second solo performance, Neil Haskell danced to “Gravity” by Shawn McDonald. Nigel Lythgoe said “I think he’s come good at the right time.” Mary Murphy said “It had the tricks, but there was also a calmness and maturity about the way that you’re dancing.” Dan Karaty said “Dynamic would be the word that I would use for you.”

For the third couples performance, Lacey Schwimmer and Sabra Johnson pretended to be foxes and danced to “Koyal” by Nitin Sawhney. Nigel Lythgoe said “I didn’t get that at all I’m afraid.” Mary Murphy said “It didn’t showcase I don’t feel your talents to the best of your abilities.” Dan Karaty said “I think you will have people who absolutely love this, and then you’ll have people who do not.”

For the third solo performance, Danny Tidwell danced to “We Are The Champions” by Gavin DeGraw. Nigel Lythgoe said “You are outstanding, and every young man watching this show should aspire to be as good as you.” Mary Murphy said “I will never ever get tired of watching you dance.” Dan Karaty said “What is in the water at your mom’s studio? Between Travis and then Jamie and you, you guys are all phenomenal.”

For the fourth couples performance, Danny Tidwell and Neil Haskell danced contemporary to “Are You The One?” by The Presets. Nigel Lythgoe said “Well, I thought it was great.” Mary Murphy said “I loved it.” Dan Karaty said “You guys were really throwing down.”

For the fourth solo performance, Sabra Johnson danced to “Wonderful World” by James Morrison. Nigel Lythgoe said “You have this energy that draws us into you.” Mary Murphy said “You have everything it takes to be the champion of this show.” Dan Karaty said “You’re absolutely amazing up there. You deserve to be here, that’s for sure.”

For the fifth couples performance, Lacey Schwimmer and Neil Haskell danced the Lindy Hop to “Bill’s Bounce” by The Big Elliot Swing Orchestra. Nigel Lythgoe said “Both excellent.” Mary Murphy said “As tired as you both must be, you still really pulled it off.” Dan Karaty said “That is entertainment at its best.”

For the sixth couples performance, Sabra Johnson and Danny Tidwell danced the Cha-Cha to “Gotta Get Down” by Celia Cruz. Nigel Lythgoe said “You really do work well together as partners.” Mary Murphy said “I feel like the performance level was picked up through the second half all the way to the finish.” Dan Karaty said “I thought you guys were hot. I thought you nailed it. It was great.”

Not musical theater. Performance theater. There is a big difference.

ronski31, you are right about a lot of gays being drawn to musical theater. I have no idea while they are drawn to this particular art form. However, anybody watching Tidwell perform have to agree that homeboy has some dazzling moves.

Maybe you should ask your lil bro. why he's so prejudiced against a dancer before watching him perform.

Who is cleodine  Danny is phenomenal! His lines are simply fantastic and he has an extraordinary center. He reminds me of a cross between Alvin Ailey and Aurthur Mitchell.

Although I hope he wins, I think Lacey will take the prize because I believe the competetition was fixed from the beginning. Hey, her brother won last year and was a choreographer this year.

cleodine, I completely agree. Also, we must remember that we don't have any new black male dancers that grab the limelight.

The British judge laid some pretty heavy lauding on brother man, so he may very well emerge the winner tonight. Either way, he will be spotted by talent scouts.

We'll see.

Speaking from what I know and have observed, you are right, but only on a superficial level.

The thing about Danny Tidwell that I like is that he is hardly like T.R. Knight, the gay actor in the Isaiah Washington controversy, who admitted that he is homosexual, or the musical legend, Little Richard, who everybody can see  is homosexual, because he acts like one and talks like one. "Whooo-oooh!"

Who is heartbone  I see no evidence of black folks from the photos linked in this thread.

I'm glad that I refrained from my earlier impulse to type a remark asking why this was even posted on the BWP, as you people indicate that one of those dancers is black.
I thought that leaping dude was Asian by that picture.

sheepus, this whole program is gay.

Carry on.

Tell the truth and shame the devil. I watch the show for the dancing, nothing more nothing less. I don't even vote.

I never thought Danny or Sabra were black, just beige. But again, Danny reminds me of Arthur Mitchell. Unfortunately, I have no bi-racial, Asian or Latino male dancers to reference.

Danny is flaming, you can see it in his mannerisms. My 6 year old neice asked me why he acts like a girl.

sl8, I know the answer, but before I get to it, let me ask you - to be a good poet etc. one has to be gay?

Now that is one stupid assumption, if I've ever heard one!

Was James Brown or Ray Charles gay? Was Wilson Pickett, Elvis Pressley or Nat King Cole gay?

Is Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington or Jamie Foxx gay?

Can you see just how stupid that question was?

Do I have to explain that being gay is not a requirement for becoming a great entertainer?

By the way, you claim to be a good poet, so I guess you are gay!

Who is sl8  squareboy

the amount of talented heteros that get shunned and replaced by homos especially in our khem-unity is way beyond normal!!

and for u to misunderstand my comment and my cynicism, displays your incompetence yet again!!

it has to do with the emasculation of the black man...and the "threatening nature" of the black mans seed!!

the hetero black male can not be seen in too much of a positive light unless hes a buck dancin coonegro.....

this is a direct objective of massa media....numbian

your really a half wit...a minimind...matter of fact you are less...a quarter wit..maybe even a tenth wit!!

But only if you "allow" media manipulation to influence your thinking!

If you indeed are the master of your universe, then they can hurl every negative image at you they want to, but you will not flinch and remain ever vigilant to your "superior" image!

Now try to unravel that one!
