General Membership Statement

When you join the forums it is our assumption that you have a valid, traceable E-mail address that you joined with. Without a valid email address the system forwards invalid email addresses out to other mail systems. We will eliminate all accounts that do not have traceable email addresses.

Standard Guidelines

  1. DO NOT MAKE USERNAMES ALL NUMBERS: Please put a personality to your login. Do not use all numbers as a username. It will simply be deleted and you can enter again. It is our policy and we will not change it
  2. IMPROPER E-MAIL: If a user submits an improper username, a welcome statement containing their temporary password will not be received.
  3. NEWSLETTER REQUIREMENT: You will be periodically forwarded e-mail so that we can keep you abreast of changes in our forum application. Your proper e-mail registration in part 1 will make this possible. If your e-mail is found unreachable 3x we will disable the account.
  4. FOUL LANGUAGE: We allow a little foul language, after all we do expect adults to use this forum, but try to keep it tasteful and in context of the topic of discussion.
  5. NO SALES PROMOTION: If you have products to sell, you cannot sell them in our forums. When detected {which is most times since users tattle} we will eliminate the post and suspend the account.
  6. NO SPAMMING OR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS: We urge all of our participants to exercise good netiquette by annotating all borrowed material. i.e., tell us what newspaper or magazine a particular article came from and include the entire link. {via our privacy policy we are not responsible for user submitted data.}
  7. NO DUPLICATE USERNAMES: Once a username is taken it cannot be duplicated. Thus we only disable users, thus preventing new users from taking a previous user's identity.
  8. DO NOT MAKE TOPICS ALL CAPITALS: Finally, do not make your topics and responses all capitals as they will be editted if time permits or deleted if there is not enough time. All caps is considered a SHOUT.
  9. NO NUDE PHOTOS: You may get the feeling to post a picture that enhances the discussion, that is ok, but please be sure that the people in the pictures are clothed.
  10. NO MARKETING OF OTHER DISCUSSION BOARDS: We work hard at keeping this board up to date, we expect other board owners to do the same. If you really want to market your board in our board, a payment arrangement can be worked out.
  11. NO PRESS RELEASES IN THE BOARDS - Please note that our forums is not a place for your firms or periodical's news releases. In fact, if you have an event to list, please use our event utility. Note, all rules of the Event Register apply.
