Rebuilding Slowly, Marcia McBroom Gallery (144)
02/04/2010

We have been neglecting the editorial part of the website for a while in lieu of working hard to update the technology of the web site. Currently our site is a complete web 1.0 entity with tables making up most of the layout and a session and application layer that is a bit like the a house made out of straw and wood.

Over the next month or so that will change. The table layouts will be gone; the session layer will be user centric; and our application layer will find airborne threats like SQL injection and Cross site scripting.

However, in that time we have updated the galleries. Last week we created a Charlie Wilson gallery featuring that famed Gap Band lead that gave us hits like 'Burn Rubber', 'You Dropped the Bomb on me', and my favorite, 'Early in the Morning'.

Next up we have the very lovely Marcia McBroom. A lot of the newbies (such as myself) had never heard of Marcia, but a few weeks ago I happened on a 1970's movie called 'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls' and saw the lovely lady. The movie, however, was pure trash not worth watching again, but Marcia was fine.

But we are still building the site when we are not working our 9-5's. However, after the recode the BlackWebPortal shall have as strong a stance as other A-listers in the Black niche market.

Stay tuned. We are going to give you the business.

Obama Should Not Apologize (31)
02/04/2010

The mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman should put a sock in it. Representative Shelley Berkley too. If they keep on we shall advise our visitors not to go to Las Vegas because they are childishly complaining about a point of clarification.

If Goodman and Berkley want to play hardball with the president the people elected into the highest office, then let the games begin.

But right now, my trip to Harrahs in 'Vegas' is cancelled. Why? Stupid people like Goodman and Berkley who see fit to attack President Obama and thus side stepping their own problems.

Our Hottest Female Galleries .. Again (1894)
05/22/2009

Sure, sure, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is hot, but so are our galleries. Check out the 2002 Avonte galley (68), she was (is) very hot. How about our first thong gallery (38)! I think this gallery came out right after the Sisqo (where is he now) Thong Song hit. But I digress. Go back in time and check out the Ebony Man Magazine entries featuring our first gallery, the Nadra and Katrina gallery (69), and the Nikki Jackson (7) gallery.

Our most visited galleries: Lisa Raye (88), Melyssa Ford (86), and Serena Williams Set 2 (81). The Serena gallery shows off some of her super hot fashions she sported at grand slam events around he world! And yes, we cannot forget Venus (21).

After awhile it appeared that derriere size butted in and we did not want to be in arrears so we created some voluptuous galleries (172, 173) that featured ample rears. They were popular, but, who-wee, some of those rear ends were really, well, BIG!

More of our viewers’ favorites are Tiara Harris (102 & 144), Lyric, and Belle (99). The pictures are no hotter than a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, but to be proper, these pictures are best viewed on your own home computer!

Next up, the handsome hunks! Pictured to the right, Chloe.

Hey, it’s Good the Democrats Lost (52)
01/20/2010

Hey, I’m not crying about it! With petty Blue Dog squabbles a plenty, the loss of a senate seat combined with other losses should move the party in the right direction.

The Dems were like 70% of the million dollar lottery winners in America, broke and busted years later. The problem, they didn’t know what to do with their bounty! So they wasted the opportunity. Compare that with the fact that the Senate had a 60 to 40 democratic majority and then they had members not vote in unity, you can see that they squandered a great gift from the American people: a clear majority.

But with folks like Ben Nelson and Smokin’ Joe Liebermann playing childish power games with their own party, folks in Massachusetts were very pissed off with the senate’s disunity and decided to vote them out. So what should Democratic senators do to show the voters that they are serious about fixing America? They should focus on issues the non wallstreet folks of America want to see put into law:

  1. Reversal of the Glass-Stegall bill separating regular banks from investment banks.
  2. Revocation of the Monopoly that health care firms have
  3. .
  4. Passage of key parts of Health Insurance reform. Yes, health insurance reform.
  5. Revocation of the tax cuts for the rich.
  6. Continued limits on H1-B1 visas
  7. Revoke tax breaks for firms that farm our manufacturing to foreign firms

With these basic tasks the Senate democrats and Obama can get their butts on the right track. They have been given a wake up call and have a while before the 2012 elections. The bottom line is that it is a REAL good thing that Obama has to take it in the gut! Why? The people did not elect him to be a nice guy; we elected him to do a job!

Need we remind him of the criminals from the previous administration or the Wallstreet crooks that are still getting paid big? Oh, and finally the $500 billion tax cut for the rich should be revoked by now. Yes, there is a lot more to do.

Updated Gallery: Traci 'Baywatch' Bingham (507)
01/07/2010
Traci took a big risk when she left her Harvard education to come to Hollywood and pursue her acting career. But LA is where dreams are made, and after two years of hard work, landing small spots in television and film, Traci Bingham hit the jackpot by becoming the newest cast member of Baywatch, the most popular television show in the world at that time. Traci Bingham made television history by being the first woman of color to join the highly regarded Baywatch babes.

Traci Bingham was born on January 13, 1971 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Contrary to many online, internet sources, Traci Bingham was NOT born Julie Ann Smith, but born Traci Bingham!!! Not sure how or why that rumour got started.

Traci was the youngest of seven siblings, and comes from a close knit family with strong family values. Her beautifully exotic features stems from her diverse heritage consisting of African-American, Cherokee, and Italian blood.

Zoe Saldana Exciting in Avatar (116)
12/14/2009

Scheduled to review Avatar for monday eZine

Back on May 7, 2009 we had this to say about Star Trek and Pirates of the Carribbean star Zoe Saldana:

And does Zoe fit the role of Uhura or what? Hey, the original Uhura was simply beautiful in every sort of way and embodied intelligent femininity at a time when the nation was in continuous civil unrest. But in this movie, Zoe fits the part of an intellectual and beauty to a tee.

Saldana was born Zoë Yadira Zaldaña Nazario in New Jersey to immigrants from the Dominican Republic. Her first languages are Spanish and English. She was raised in Queens, New York.

The BWP is in Remarkup Mode
01/07/2010

From January 8 to January 31 the BWP is in Remarkup and recoding mode! Say whuh? Well, the BWP has survived because the founders were programmers and engineers, however, over the last few years became involved in their individual careers! However, in 2010 we have come alive and realized that our site needs a facelift and work on the undercarriage.

On the surface our site is a mix of tables creating the site sections. This old way of doing things makes our site slow to load and cumbersome to remodel. Our code is also based on HTML 4.0. This time out we are moving to CSS 2.0 for presentation and XHTML for the structure this will make is easy to include RSS feeds and future mashups needed to included external resources in our applications.

In the undercarriage we are totally retooling our old Cold Fusion code set! We are kicking to the curb our antiquated validation techniques and beefing up our application layer to protect our site and customers from threats. In our final stages we shall embed paypal modules into our pay schemes to make it easier for our customers to pay for services rendered.

We expect to have all application layer changes in place January 11th. We expect to have our structure planned out by the 11th and implemented throughout the site by January 22nd. Finally, we shall implement paypal into our pay module to make all services turnkey.

Thus on February 1, 2010 we really do reluanch the entire site and shall attract millions of African-Americans coast to coast! We are really going to have some fun.

Click the link to go to Wyclef Jean's donation site.

Buildings have collapsed and people are trapped under the rubble after a major earthquake struck Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, late Tuesday afternoon.

Communications are mostly cut, so the toll from the devastating magnitude seven-point-zero quake isn't immediately clear.

The major quake was followed by at least two moderate aftershocks. The Inter-American Development Bank is sending $200,000 dollars in emergency aid.

President Obama said the U.S. is "ready to assist the people of Haiti." Secretary of State Hillary Clinton promised immediate U.S. aid.

C. C. H. Pounder as Mo'at, the Na'vi queen, plays Mom to Zoe's character.

The character, like all the Na'vi, is entirely computer generated. Saldaña has also signed on for potential equels.

Rudy: No Terror Attacks Under Bush! (91)
01/08/2010
Giuliani Claims: ‘We Had No Domestic Attacks Under Business; We’ve Had One Under Obama’

There seems to be yet another attack of lunacy going around within the Republican party.

First Dana Perino says there were no terror attacks under George Bush and Mary Matalin who now says the George Bush inherited 9/11 terror attacks, but the most chilling statement regarding these wildly untrue assertions come from Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani joins fellow Republicans Dana Perino and Mary Matalin to say: 'We Had No Domestic Attacks Under Bush; We've Had One Under Obama' as recently as this morning on Good Morning America.

This is indeed a chilling and sobering statement coming from Rudy Giuliani. Dude must be completely senile or something. What he says suggest that he does not remember the terrorist attack on the World Trade Towers, killing over 3000 people in his own city, during his own administration. Nor does mention anything about the anthrax attacks or the shoe bomber attack. Once again Republicans prove that the are completely detached from reality and are determine to see our world in turns of their own personal agendas.

It not so bad when minor figures in the Republican Party make crazy statements, but when their leaders join in and agree that reflects entirely on Republican leadership ability which consistently proves to be poor. I mean, Giuliani is considering running for President again for goodness sake! Get a grip man!

Moreover, George Stephanopoulos, who conducted the ABC interview did not challenge Giuliani at all. Oh well, so much for journalistic integrity.

However, judge for yourself - check out Giuliani on Good Morning America making this ridiculous assertion earlier this morning:

Bio briefs:

Dana Maria Perino is Republican who served as the White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush from September 14, 2007 to January 20, 2009

Mary Joe Matalin is Republican who was an assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney until 2003.

Week 15 NFL Scores, Wild Card Picture (92)
12/16/2009

Here's what we do know: San Diego, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Minnesota and Arizona are division champions. The Colts and Saints have clinched first-round byes, and the Chargers are on the verge of doing so. titans

The Eagles own at least a wild-card spot, and if they beat Denver on Sunday and Dallas loses to Washington, the NFC East is Philadelphia's.

Cincinnati needs a win Sunday against Kansas City to clinch the AFC North. New England gets the AFC East by beating Jacksonville. Both of those division leaders also can clinch if their nearest pursuers, Baltimore in the North and Miami in the East, fall Sunday.

Through 14 games, the wild-card holders are Dallas and Green Bay in the NFC, with no tiebreakers necessary. In the AFC, it's Baltimore and Denver, the only 8-6 teams in the conference. There are several scenarios through which the Ravens, Broncos, Cowboys and Packers could grab those wild cards this weekend.

Be Aware: US Evangels Using Uganda! (120)
12/13/2009

Folks, whether you agree that homosexuality is a socially created behavior thing or a genetic thing the government in Uganda has been duped by American Evangelical Christian groups directly influenced by Pastor Rick Warren.

Right now the Uganda government is trying to pass some of the sickest legislation you could ever think of in their Anti Homosexuality Bill. This bill could lead to a witch hunt that could involve anyone that would be called a homosexual. In fact, in which hunts whether someone is something or not becomes irrelevant since the punishment is the answer to all accusation.

We are just beginning to looking into this issue and will provide links to this story in the days to come.

Uganda does not need to follow the dictates of American evangelical extremism. Uganda can protect its children by being good parents and making sure improper materials are kept away from children. Indeed, this would be a good idea for American parents too.

If Lil’ Kim Turns White Will the Loss be Felt (175)
12/13/2009

Oh sheet! This topic will flair a few tempers! But what the hell, I never thought that Lil’ Kim had any talent anyway. Kim just happened to be in a time period that the average Joe rapper (or Jane rappa) could get big coin just for grunting. She gain notoriety for her flower covered loose breast ’s back in 2003 (of which Diana Ross could not believe!) and had unnecessary surgery after unnecessary surgery on her face and body. Didn’t she learn anything from Michael Jackson’s fight with his looks? But alas, times will be hard for Kim since she plays no instruments that I know of; can barely produce, and only lived off the shock value of her actions.

Noting Pearl Harbor Day (105)
12/08/2009

Less we forget December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy, we want to remind you of America's entry into World War II.

From the National Archives

Early in the afternoon of December 7, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his chief foreign policy aide, Harry Hopkins, were interrupted by a telephone call from Secretary of War Henry Stimson and told that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor. At about 5:00 p.m., following meetings with his military advisers, the President calmly and decisively dictated to his secretary, Grace Tully, a request to Congress for a declaration of war. He had composed the speech in his head after deciding on a brief, uncomplicated appeal to the people of the United States rather than a thorough recitation of Japanese perfidies, as Secretary of State Cordell Hull had urged.

I can't tell you what the best game was this weekend because so many of them were genuinely good. However, I can tell you what was unexpected! Like how did Miami claw back into the game and beat the New England Patriots? Now at 6-6, Miami has just as good as a chance as the Steelers at 6-6 to get one of the coveted AFC wild card spots and the Patriots at 7-5 are looking less and less like potential AFC champs.

FUNNY! Woods Car Crash Reenactment (621)
12/01/2009

This video is hilarious! The Chinese dive into two scenarios. First, the scenario that Tiger had an accident and his wife Elin went out to help him. The second scenario ... that Elin thought about his possible outside relationship and slapped him! Upon getting hit, Tiger tries to leave but Elin smacks the back window of his Cadillac with a golf club. This action is enough to divert his attention away from the driveway so he hits a fire hydrant and then a tree!

Quite an original video
